Chief Purser Cruise Job
A Seabourn cruise offers a unique holiday experience combining all the facilities of an intimate cruise ship with, some say the soul of a private yacht. Consistently voted ‘best of the best’ by leading travel authorities, our excellent customer service sets us apart – even if it means a little lateral thinking to grant a seemingly impossible request.
As Chief Purser you will manage financial service issues for guest and crew administration. This will include dealing with Immigration and Custom clearance, liaising with agents and Heads of Departments for all Port Operations matters, supervising passenger embarkation and disembarkation and maintaining the ship’s funds and cash availability. You will be required to control the ship’s financial operation and internal auditing as required. Dealing with passenger claims and complaints will also be part of your remit.
You will be responsible for the supervision of the Crew Purser, Receptionists and the Casino staff. In the absence of the Hotel Manager, you will be expected to assume their duties.
You will currently be working within the Pursers Department on board a Seabourn ship, where you would have gained substantial experience and appropriate training for a managerial position. Experience of budgeting techniques and financial analysis is also required. Fluency in English is essential and a good knowledge of another language would be an advantage.
From all of our cruise ship vacancies, you can expect competitive rewards and excellent opportunities.
